“Keep Calm and Party On”
Some days on my aimless scrolls through Tumblr/Flickr/Facebook et al, I can’t help but feel so happy about all the young, creative people showing their stuff. I definitely want to start using this space to show off the work of some of my favorite (possibly unknown) artists who deserve coverage!
I was first drawn to Chrissie White’s work when I found the above photo posted to her Flickr sometime in 2010. I added it to my favorites and actually go back from time to time because I’m obsessed with it. I love the surreal, dreamy quality the photo has, plus the careful attention to colors and other detail. You can imagine how shocked I was when I found out that Chrissie was in high school through most of her burgeoning, already-awesome photography career!
