It’s approaching mid-February, which might as well mean mid-July for Los Angeles. Did I mention I love California?
The change in temperature inevitably means I’m starting to crave bright pastels like the rest of the world seems to be. I’m currently crazy for all things Apres Ski, as they feature enough pastels to fuel an Easter acid trip, but have my eye on those shoes, too.

The Vamoose has always been a huge inspiration to me - Kathryn’s jewelry is one of many reasons I starting making my own pieces again.  I just love her timeless collections as well as the places and things she herself draws inspiration from. Kathryn maintains a lovely blog which features shop updates as well as gorgeous color palettes and serene photos. I’m recently obsessed with the stills that were created in collaboration with Belgium-based photographer Eefjie de Coninck.
I can’t wait to own my very own Vamoose item (or two). I need to decide on a favorite piece first! I love the amazonite and brass necklace above, as well as the necklaces and bracelets in crystal quartz, and of course, every bracelet in the shop.

Shockingly, I won one of many giveaways being held on the N.E.E.T. blog this past holiday season. I’m a serial blog giveaway entrant and after about a year of being consistently disappointed, I finally cashed in. My prize was a voucher towards Nadinoo, an amazing handmade clothing line based out of Manchester. This was definitely worth the wait!
I’ve been a fan of Nadinoo for some time - how could you not, what with their amazing press and blogger collabs - and spent an admittedly long few weeks deliberating over what to buy. There’s no way I could have turned down fabric made from sketches done by Orange Juice frontman Edwyn Collins, so I of course bought Pixie’s a Bird a Day Dress. Since there’s no point in getting just one garment shipped all the way from England, I of course sprung for Fleur’s Untie Me Tee (anything to convince myself I’m saving on shipping; this is a terrible habit I’ve gotten into).
Designer and owner Nadia was so helpful throughout my ordering (and daydreaming) process. I highly encourage you to check out her blog (amazing photos) and Twitter! I’ll be eagerly awaiting my package and can’t wait to share photos once I’ve received!
P.S. Blog redesign is on the way, officially. I can’t wait, though I am grumpy for having to do the whole Wordpress mess again. ;)
