I love to eat.

I’ve compiled some of my instagram shots (poorly - what app do you all use for this?!), showing off some of the food I’ve made, and purchased, over the past few months.
I’m hungry.
Info about each dish here.

Rotting and Asbestos

At this point, I may as well just turn this blog into a permanent tribute to old Hollywood.

I drove by this house not log ago and had to stop for a photo. This was the best I could do through the tall fence surrounding the house, but you can clearly see how decrepit this monster is. I want to know everything about this house. It certainly looks like very little has been updated since it was built. Only the car (barely) passes the modernity test - I’d say it’s about a 7 on a scale of Macbook Air (10) to printing press (1). I wonder how long it’s been standing like this for. A Google search wasn’t been very helpful in my quest, nor was Maps, where the house looks exactly the same. Anyone up for a research challenge?

I’m just incredulous that it’s still standing. It feels like houses from this era were more common even a mere 10 years ago, and are now starting to become a dying breed. I guess what I’m try to say in short, is: Hollywood is weird and old and ridiculous.

Sometimes when I’m feeling particularly boastful I’ll brag to my parents about how how glorious CA living is compared to my native NJ. They are especially jealous of my weekly Farmer’s Market offerings, so I took this photo to brag.

Top to bottom: Variety of Eggplants, Onions, Avocados, White peaches, a lemon, Peppers (Anaheim and Serrano), Apricots and Rainier cherries, Olive bread.

I’m not totally fond of still-lifes, but this is a fun way of documenting life (a.k.a, food rules). Maybe I’ll make this a weekly trend!
